Making The Beer Bearable
Okay, so most of us like beer but there are a lot of people who do not. It may be because of the taste or even the smell. As there is considerable competition among the existing beer companies, be it big or small, it is worthwhile to examine whether there are factors which may make beer more enjoyable to the majority who, at the moment, do not enjoy it.
Increasing alcohol levels
Increasing alcohol levels may attract the community which prefers high alcohol to try beer more but, the catch here is, over increasing the alcohol levels will make it something else and not beer. Therefore, this option may be exercised only to a certain level and may not have the desired significant impact on the output.
Enhancing the quality of raw materials
The main ingredients in beer are malted barley, water, yeast and hops. Therefore, the quality of these ingredients that are included in the brewing process will definitely influence the final flavour and the fragrance. It is common belief that craft beer distributor Hong Kong is made with the finer ingredients than the mass productions and, therefore, tastes better.
Selecting the proper yeast
As mentioned before, yeast is one of the key ingredients in making beer. Therefore, the yeast that is used in the brewing process will have a major effect on the quality of the final product. It is vital to understand the different behaviours of different species of yeast in the brewing process.
Eliminating use of substitutes
Some of the mass producers of beer (of course, not all) are accused of using substitutes such as rice and corn in the brewing process together with malt to reduce costs and increase profits. Knowingly or unknowingly this may contribute to the loss of taste and aroma. In order to avoid inferior quality beer which use substitutes people tend to buy craft beer.
Adding adjuncts
Those who do not like the original taste or smell of beer may tend to try it if brewed with an additive. The popular appendages include everyday ingredients such as chocolate, coffee, fruits, herbs and spices. This is, in theory, the same as adding rice or corn in the brewing process but in contrast, adding something like fruits or spices will give beer a unique characteristic whereas adding rice or corn may act to deteriorate the quality of the final product. The aforementioned adjuncts also attribute to the distinctive aroma which may be considered to be more bearable by many.
It is true that when a person forms an opinion it is difficult to change it even for the best but hopefully the aforementioned tips may assist in increasing the beer loving community.
